In short: Your accounting data — invoices, ledgers, registers, trial balances, Form 26AS, and every report the app produces — is processed entirely on your own computer and is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
The only information that leaves your computer is a small licence check described in section 3. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
PaisaMatch (earlier published under the name “GST Tool”) is a Windows desktop application published by Chetan Kukreja, India. It helps chartered accountants and tax practitioners prepare GST returns, reconcile TDS, and produce tax-audit and income-tax working papers from accounting-software exports.

PaisaMatch runs locally. It opens files you choose, processes them on your machine, and writes the results back to your machine. None of the following is transmitted to us, to any cloud service, or to any third party:
These files are stored on your computer under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\GSTTool\ (configuration, data, output and logs).
We hold no copy of any of it, and we have no technical means of retrieving it.
PaisaMatch is licensed software. To operate the free trial and to keep a licence tied to one computer, the app makes a small check-in request to our licensing server.

No accounting data is ever included in this request. No invoice, ledger line, return, tax figure, client record or file content is transmitted, in whole or in part.
No GSTIN is sent. Earlier versions of the app did include the GSTIN configured at the time; that was removed in September 2026, and our server now ignores it even when an older installation still sends it. If a GSTIN was recorded against your installation before that change, contact us and we will delete it.
Please note: if you use the app for more than one firm, the firm name recorded is whichever was selected in the app when the first successful check-in took place.

If you are a paying licence holder, the record also carries the firm name and GSTIN that we entered ourselves when issuing your licence, because we need them to identify and bill the account. That is separate from the app's check-in, which never sends a GSTIN.
Cloudflare acts as our hosting provider and processes the network request on our behalf. As with any internet request, the originating IP address is visible to Cloudflare in transit; we do not store IP addresses in our records and we do not use them.
Retention: we keep the record for as long as the trial or licence is in use, and afterwards as a record of the licence issued. You may ask us to delete it at any time (see section 8).
The application interface runs in your web browser at
http://localhost:8501. Your browser may store session
information locally for that page. That information stays in your browser and
is never sent to us.
PaisaMatch works without an internet connection. If a check-in cannot reach our server, the app continues to run and the failure is handled silently — being offline is treated as normal, not as an error. Internet access is used only for the licence check described in section 3.
To prevent the free trial from being reset by deleting the licence file, the app records the installation date in these additional locations. Each contains only a date — no personal or accounting information:

PaisaMatch is professional accounting software. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If you obtain PaisaMatch through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download and any purchase. Microsoft's own privacy statement applies to that part of the process, and Microsoft does not give us access to your Microsoft account details.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be communicated to licence holders directly.
